If Covid taught us anything, it taught us that change is inevitable. The baking industry has been adapting to this unprecedented time, by providing more online services and creating more presence on social media in order to generate revenue. The last few months have possibly been some of the most challenging that business owners have ever faced. So has covid changed shopping behaviour, absolutely!!!

Figures show us that more consumers were driven to online shopping as opposed to actually visiting the shop, supermarket visits were down by a massive 2 million back in July 2020. There are more and more people who are now opening their food business solely online, so the pandemic has completely changed the way we shop and where we shop!!!

If you look online you will see many meal kit offerings as well as baking kit offerings, the industry is expected to grow over the next 5 years, we will see more innovative ways on how to eat and how to bake. I have personally used a few baking kits and they work really well, you don’t have to worry about purchasing all of the ingredients as they are provided, easy instructions and they encourage family time where you can all be involved and have fun creating!!!
